“Sumekamicha” is a brand produced by Haneda Airport. Its name combines two meanings of the character “Kami”: one refers to emperors, as the tea has historical ties to the imperial family, and the other refers to gods, as the tea is connected to shrines and temples with imperial legends.
The store uses tea from “Hiyoshicha”, the oldest tea plantation in Japan, located in Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.
